14) Upgrading of Tungsten Street N.W. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the council to table this request. <br /> <br />15) Cost Estimate for Second Hockey Rink <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said a hockey group in Ramsey is having a get-together of <br />the kids who played hockey and he suggested approaching them about their <br />program for this year at that time. He noted that the cost estimate for the <br />second hockey rink is $10,700.00 and it could come out of Pamk Improvement <br />Funds. He said there is a problem of the vrater going might down because <br />of gopher holes in the area. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested filling the gopher holes in with some clay. <br />He said there are places in Ramsey with clay. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to proceed <br />with the plans for the second hockey rink. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />16) Miller Property <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said Mr. Miller called him before the meeting to ask <br />what is going to be done regarding restoration of his road as nothing <br />has been happening. He said he told Mr. Miller that City Administrator <br />Schnelle would get back to him tomorrow on whatever the council decides <br />tonight. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle was directed to notify Jack Menkveld by calling <br />him and sending a letter to him regarding completing the restoration <br />and to send Mr. Miller a letter telling him what is being done. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said that High Point g Gateway North had some work <br />left, but he hasn't had any response on them. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed City Engineer Raatikka to tell the contractor that <br />they have to get these done as the end of the season is here. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle informed the city council that the city ordered <br />the contractor to have this done last fall, but then the city gave them <br />until June. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle was directed to check into the matter and to <br />get back to the City Council if it is not done by the end of June. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) League Meeting Regarding Property and Liability Insurance <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he thought it would be a good idea to find out what is <br />happening regarding the property and liability insurance program which the <br />League is sponsoring. <br /> <br />C/June 24, 1980 <br />Page 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
