City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter from the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation regarding approval of the State Aid Grant for Ramsey's Airport <br />Site Study. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter from the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation dated June 19, 1980 regarding project for correcting regulatory <br />and warning signs deficiencies whereby approved of grant in the amount of <br />$4,260 State share, which will be 76% of the cost of the labor. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter from Congressman Oberstar dated <br />June 13, 1980 thanking Ramsey for its report on the use of Revenue Sharing <br />Funds. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter from the Anoka County Assessor <br />which states that Ramsey exceeded the 1%, therefore, no reduction will be <br />granted through the local Board of Review. <br /> <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the County has a computer runoff on this <br />which would have made it easier. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he thought the council should talk with the County Assessor <br />and City Assessor Wirz right away. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he would be interested in having someone from the County <br />Board at the meeting on this matter. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he thought the council should find out just what was <br />wrong from City Assessor Wirz first. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed City Administrator Schnelle to get together all the <br />information regarding just what percentage the city is over so as to be <br />prepared when meeting with the County. He suggested scheduling a meeting <br />with the Anoka County Assessor, Ralph McGinley and as many of the County <br />Commissioners as possible. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the part that puzzles him is that their man <br />Thurston was at the Board of Review and helped with this. <br /> <br />City Assessor Wirz said they have some residential property listed and he <br />didn't include residential at all. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the council should definitely get some explanation. <br /> <br />City Assessor Wirz said he came up with $1,599,500 and the city was allowed <br />$6,000,000. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said he felt Bob Berman, County Commissioner, should be invited. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed a letter be sent out to all the County Commissioners <br />and a meeting be set for Monday evening, June 30, 1980. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the city is over by $31,135 and he handed <br />out sheets on this. <br /> <br />C/June 24, 1980 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
