PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />Public Hearing regarding Street Improvement, Riverwood Hills Plat I, on <br />July 8, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Now-then Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:31 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the <br />making of tarvia street improvements on Fluorine Street N.W. lying <br />between 177th Lane N.W. and 179th Lane N.W., Erkium Street N.W. lying <br />between 177th Avenue N.W. and 179th Lane N.W. Cobalt Street N.W. lying <br />between Argon Street N.W. and 177th Avenue N.W., Argon Street N.W. lying <br />in the Southwest quarter of Section 1, Township 32 Range 25 lying South <br />of 177th Avenue N.W., 177th Lane N.W. lying between Fluorine Street N.W. <br />and Erkium Street N.W., 177th Avenue N.W. lying between Erkium Street N.W. <br />and Cobalt Street N.W., 177th Avenue N.W. lying in the Southwest quarter of <br />Section 1, Township 32, Range 25 lying East of Cobalt Street N.W. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said it is proposed to improve the streets in <br />accordance with rural-type street section which would include a 24' wide <br />bituminous mat. The street section proposed consists of a 3" gravel base <br />with a 1~" bituminous sumface. He explained it will be up to the individual <br />owners to take care of theim own driveways, but a 1' apron would be constructed <br />at each driveway. <br /> <br />The estimated costs of the project are: $36,800 for Bituminous Surfacing, <br />$15,000 for Class V Gravel, $7,900 for Grading and Culvert Installation <br />and $5,000 for Restoration and Culvert Cleaning. $64,700 is the estimated <br />construction cost, plus contingencies, engineering & administrative costs <br />of $16,175 for a total esti~ted cost for street improvement of $80,875. <br /> <br />It is proposed to assess the cost on a unit basis. <br />between 48 units for a total of $1,684.90 per unit. <br />10 years, the annuall unit cost is $274.30. <br /> <br />The cost is divided <br /> At 10% interest for <br /> <br />He noted in addition to the lots in Riverwood Hills, the lot on the corner <br />of 177th Avenue N.W. and also the two units that have their driveways <br />that connect to 177th Avenue N.W. lying East of Riverwood' Hills Plat 1 <br />are proposed to be assessed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />July 8, 1980 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
