SPECIAL COUNCIL <br /> City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a special <br />meeting on September 16, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 10:30 P.M. He stated the purpose <br />of the meeting was to discuss setting a policy in regards to Class V Street <br />Improvements, the Wild and Scenic River Ordinance and the new amended House <br />Size Ordinance. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />AGENDA APPROVAL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve the <br />Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Class V Policy <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he felt a policy had to be established. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson said his understanding of the policy from past discussions <br />was that the city would maintain a Class V road, but if the city had to <br />redo a Class V, the benefitting owners would be assessed. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said his understanding of the policy was that city <br />streets would be brought to city standards and the city would cover those costs. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said if that is true, then the city should go back and pay for all the <br />Class V that has been done.
