Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson authorizing <br />flowers sent from City Council and City Staff and offering condolences <br />to the family of Michelle Houschen who was killed while riding a bicycle <br />in Ramsey on September 29, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />City staff was directed to send a card to Anoka Union for their grand opening <br />on Thursday and Friday, October 2 and 3rd, 1980. <br /> <br />153rd Lane Extension <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said there is one deadset.again~t' it and wants pretty <br />high compensation for the land. He wants a couple thousand for the easement. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said Duncan Jo%nson got turned down and assessed <br />for his lot. He doesn't know why he would have to pay for something he can't <br />build on. The City can redo the assessment rolls to delete that unit and send <br />out an amendment or the City can absorb one. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich said the City can't defer a street assessment. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said he did say Mr. Johnson could build on the lot if <br />he put in a mound system, but the City Council denied him that. This would <br />add $75.00 per unit to the total price. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Cox to send out <br />a letter to amend the assessment roll to delete the unit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Whispering Pines II <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said he told him they were going to assess him a full <br />unit. He recommended the City go by the policy the council just passed and <br />give him ~ assessment. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to send out a <br />letter to amend assessment roll to assess this one ~ unit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Extending 153rd to'Hematite <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to direct City <br />Staff to negotiate with property oWners to gain access for right-of-way. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
