PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />public hearing regarding Halland Acres Street Improvement Project <br />#80~ 4, on October 14, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.~ <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said this project involves the upgrading of <br />streets in Halland Acres. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said the cost of the project are $28,350.00 <br />for construction, $4,300.00 for Engineering, Staking, Inspection expenses, <br />$270.00 for fiscal and legal expenses, $1,000.00 for administrative and <br />escrow costs and $250.00 for miscellaneous costs for a total of $34,170.00. <br />The cost is divided between 24 units for a total of $1,423.75 per unit. <br /> <br />Following this hearing the owner of any property so assessed will have 30 <br />days to pay the assessment without interest. <br /> <br />Mr. Kirk Jenkinson, 15427 Argon <br /> <br />Mr. Jenkinson said he was not satisfied with th~way the ditch was finished <br />on his piece of property. He said he was on Lot 5. He said there were <br />low and high spots. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said he would look into this problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Jenkinson commented on the cul-de-sac stating that they did it and <br />now the same problem exists on the south side where there is water sitting. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said he was aware of this problem and it would <br />be corrected. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said these problems are continually watched for one year and <br />corrections are continually made to meet standards. He said inspections <br />are made almost three (3) times per week. <br /> <br />Mr. D.
