'PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City CounciI held a <br />public hearing regarding Sports Haven Street Improvement Project #80-2 <br />on October 14, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 1~153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said this project involves the upgrading of streets <br />in Sports Haven. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said the costs of the project are $23,1J0.00 <br />for construction, $3,56~,00 for Engineering, Staking, Inspection expenses, <br />$250.00 for fiscal and legal expenses, $92~.00 for administrative and <br />escrow costs and $230.00 for miscellaneous costs for a total of $28,120.00. <br />The cost is divided between 19 units for a total of $1,480.00 per unit. <br /> <br />Following this hearing, the owner of any property so assessed will have <br />30 days to pay the assessment without interest. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Hesselgrave~ 7601 - 166th Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Hesselgrave said he was happy to see that the costs would be less <br />than originally estimated. He noted, however, that the assessment was <br />lower, but they are paying more per month. He asked for an explanation <br />of this. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka recalculated and found it to be from $24 to <br />$18.80. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox.
