Approval of Partial Payments on Construction Projects 80-~, 80-~, <br />80-~3, 80-4, 80-6, ~0-8, 80-9, 80-10, 80-11, 80-12, 80-13 and 80-14~ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #80-124b authorizing partial payment on the following <br />construction projects: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />City Engineer's letter dated October 8, 1980 requesting partial <br />payment on the following construction projects 80-1, 80-2, 80-3, <br />80-4, 80-6 and 80-8 in the amount of $34,796.58. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />City Engineer's letter dated October 8, 1980 requesting <br />partial payment on the following construction projects <br />80-9, 80-10, 80-11, 80-12 and 80-14 in the amount of $194.238.90. <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />City Engineer's letter ldated October 8, 1980 requesting <br />partial payment on the following construction project 80-13 in the <br />amount of $33,376.25. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution #80-124b. <br /> <br />HUD Urban Block Grant Funding <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg and Building Official Berg attended a meeting in <br />regards to the Urban Grant on October 8, 1980 at the City of Coon Rapids <br />Conference Room. Building Official Berg said the county was concerned <br />about how the outlying communities were going to do on this. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said the city would have to hire its own Planner <br />or get help from the County or the city is not going to get any of this <br />money. <br /> <br />The meeting recessed at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said there would be another meeting regarding <br />the Urban Grant on October 15, 1980. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he felt the city should have professional <br />people at these meetings. It is going to be a weekly thing until the <br />middle of January 1981. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said there may be two meetings per week. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said the City is going to have to come up with some <br />ideas on how to spend this money and the final report has to be in by <br />the end of February 1981. <br /> <br />C/October 14, 1980 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
