Mr. Becket asked if the work would be done soon.

City Engineer Raatikka said it would be done within the next week.

Mr. Becket said he assumed the city would be paying for the maintenance
after it is paid for and he asked if the patches were going to last.

Mayor Gamec said the final inspection may not be until next spring and
after the final inspection, there is a one year wam~ranty and after that
the city takes over.

Mr. Becket asked how the assessment was done and if it shows on the
tax statement.

Mayor Gamec said it will probably go on the house payment and he
would have to notify the people where he has the loan.

City Administrator Schnelle said a person could pay it off any time
and interest is payable up to the time it is paid off.

Mayor Gamec said because of the 8sA% interest, a person would be better
off leaving it on the taxes because they would never be able to borrow
the money at less interest.

Mr. Gene Arnold, 6746 - 159th Ave. N.W.

Mr. Arnold said around the corner and up the hill from him there is a
big puddle of water.

Mayor Gamec said all of the water puddles would have to be corrected
and they will relay blacktop over them.

Mr. Gene Arnold said he had a two-car garage and he can only get in
his driveway to use one. There is a big hump on the one side. He said
he thought they should have widened it to the existing driveway.

City Engineer Raatikka said they would look at that situation.

Mr. Becker said they restricted access to one of his neighbors driveways
for four to five days and he was told at the time that access to his
house could only be achieved at his own expense.

Mayor Gamec said there was a huge amount of digging in this area and
a lot of inconvenience to the homeowners.

City Engineer Raatikka said one of the problems in the case was that
there was a gas line that had to be lowered.

Mr. Ralph Carlson~ 16009 Dolomite

Mr. Carlson said he got hit with an extra assessment and he was told at
the meeting that he had only one unit and now he was being assessed
for two.

City Engineer Raatikka said there was an ordinance change this summer.

PUBLIC HEARING
October 15, 1980
Page 2
