Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #80-143. <br /> <br />2. 1979 U.B.C. - 1980 State Building Code <br /> <br />Building Official Berg stated there was an increase in the building permit <br />fees of approximately 50% over the fees established in the 1976 U.B.C. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested going to a minim~um fee of $10.00 and leaving the house <br />construction fee the s~ne. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said during a period of recession, many people are <br />building their own garages. <br /> <br />Comncilman Sorteberg went along with the suggestion to raise the fee to a <br />minimum of $10.00 and to leave the rest of the fees the same. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adopt the <br />1979 edition of the Uniform Building Code as amended by Building Code Letter <br />No. 63 dated September 1980 using the fee schedule in the 1976 U.B.C., but <br />establishing a $10.00 minim~ building fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
