Seminar <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said there is a workshop on "Accounting <br />& Auditing Update for Non-Profit Organizations" scheduled for Wednesday, <br />October 22, 1980. <br /> <br />Jean Moen will be attending this seminar. <br /> <br />4. Submission of Tax Levy <br /> <br />The letter from the State of Minnesota extending time period for submitting <br />tax levy until November 18, 1980 was noted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Residential Valuation Assessments made in 1981 for 1982 <br /> <br />This item will be discussed by the City Assessor with the City Council <br />at the October 28, 1980 Regular Council Meeting. <br /> <br />2. Miscellaneous Items <br /> <br />The letter from the Minnesota State Department of Revenue dated 9/23/80 <br />regarding how the revenue shortfall is going to be handled by the Governor <br />and also how it will affect the city's State Allocation was noted. <br /> <br />The letter from Clayton Berg dated 10/2/80 to Mr. Tom Holker, Culbertson <br />Holker Builders regarding the reacquiring of permits for 6500 - 155th Ave N.W., <br />15640 Sunfish Lake Blvd. and 15521 Coquina Street for those structures <br />that are acceptable and having the unacceptable structures removed from <br />the City immediately upon inspection~was noted. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich said the City has received no response to this <br />letter, so he is going to start action and talk to Twin City Federal. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the councilmen should read Ordinance #80-8 <br />regarding Street Assessment here in Ramsey and corner lots which they <br />adopted at their last meeting because citizens will have questions con- <br />cerning it. <br /> <br />HUD Urban Block Grant Funding <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the funds cannot be used for City Hall improvement. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said they assured him at the meeting <br />that they were going to try and write this so that everybody would <br />be able to compare themselves with another community and for basically <br />the same needs. They said the city could do streets with the grant money. <br />He said he was going to get ahold of Tim Yantos and tell him the City <br />is going to go for a Public Works project. He said the person who serves <br />on that committee is going to be quite involved so it is going to have <br />to be someone who can devote the time. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he was not going to go to the meetings every <br />week~ but would go once in awhile to catch up.
