STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />The Council noted the following Staff Reports: <br /> <br />1. City Engineer <br />2. Building Official <br />3. City Assessor <br />4. City Administrator <br /> <br />Coumcilman Cox asked City Administrator Schnelle to cheek with the State <br />Department in regard to Class 5 and rocks being scattered in the ditch <br />on 156th and HematiZe. <br /> <br />City Engineer report item 8, Comprehensive Storm Drain Study was <br />discussed. The council discussed fees and urban and rural areas. <br />Councilman Cox stated there is no need for this throughout the community. <br />Mayor G~aec asked Councilman Sorteberg and City Engineer Raatikka to <br />get together before the next meeting and bring back a recommendation. <br />Councilman Cox stated the problem will be defining area imposed on if at <br />all. <br /> <br />City Engineer report item 11, Ordinance Change on Cul-de-sacs was noted <br />and should be resolved. It was tabled for the next meeting to be placed on <br />the agenda. <br /> <br />0ity Engineer report item 12, Bike Trail Funding was discussed. It was <br />decided this item was informational but application for funding not <br />promising at this point in time. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka submitted the Landfill Resolution to the Council for <br /> <br />Approval: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt Resolution <br />81- 3. (See resolution file for resolution contract). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Game% Councilman Sorteberg, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Cox and Comncilwoman Van Wagner. Voting no: None. <br />Please check Resolution file for Resolution #81-3. <br /> <br />Fire chief Jake Strauss addressed the council at this time and said the <br />principal reason he was there was to make a statement, he feels the fire <br />department has an obligation to make themselves available to answer questions <br />or problems with fire service. Mayor Gamec thanked him for his appearance <br />and stated the City has fire reports on file if public interested. Strauss <br />had a fire truck on display in the parking lot. (Short break). <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to direct the staff <br />to prepare a resolution in appreciation of Robert Beckenbach for his <br />dedicated services and condolences to the family.
