Attorney Goodrich commented he met with Anoka County to discuss <br />the landfill sites. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg <br />to authorize Councilman Cox to represent the City Council in the <br />landfill site selection while meeting on April 29th and that the <br />position that Councilman Cox should represent at the hearing is that <br />the City wants to have the final say as.to any site chosen within' <br />the City of Ramsey, whether or not it does in fact become a landfill. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Reimann, Council- <br />man Sorteberg, Councilman Cox. Voting no: Councilwoman VanWagner <br /> <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner stated she wants to comment at that meeting <br />as a citizen and not a Councilperson. <br /> <br />CASE #9 TAX INCREMENT FINANCING: <br /> <br />The Council noted receipt of a memo from the League of Cities <br />requesting assistance f~om its members to save tax increment financing. <br />It seems as though some legislators are bound and determined to do away <br />with this type of Commercial and Industrial development in communities. <br />However, it used to be one of the finest pieces of legislation to develop <br />your community with out of federal or state grant funds. <br /> <br />CASE #10 PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR URANIMITE STREET N.W., <br /> <br />150TH LANE N.W., 151ST AVENUE N.W., 151ST LANE N.W. , 152ND <br />STREET N.W. AND 152ND LANE N.W.: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to adopt Resolution No. 81- 32 Declaring Adequacy of Petition and <br />Calling for Feasibility Study. ~e Resolution file for resolution no. <br />si- 32 ). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van Wagner, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Sorteberg and Councilman Cox. Voting <br />no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #11 PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR 152NDAVENUE N.W., 151ST <br /> <br />AVENUE N.W. AND FLOURINE STREET N.W.: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to adopt Resolution No. 81- 33 .
