CASE //7 SET 'UP 'LICENSE FOR 'LIQUOR 'REQUEST 'FOR~ 'CASE .'0F 'MRS j 'PATRICIA <br /> ' SMUDER; '9539 'Iiighwg. y '//I0 'NW: <br /> <br />Mrs. Smuder is requesting Council authorization to allow set up license <br />for liquor to be consumed in her business establishment. She'will sell <br />the mix and the customer will supply his/her own liquor. <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcilman Cox and seconded by Com~cilman Sorteberg to <br />direct the staff to prepare a contract wi%hMrs. Smuder regarding <br />her set up license for liquor request. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Comucilman Cox, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Mayor Gamec, Coumcilman Reimann and Councilwoman Van Wagner. Voting <br />no: None. <br /> <br />CASE //8 ZONING PROBLEM ON HIGHWAY #10 REGARDING A NON CONFORMING USE: <br /> <br />Jim Gilbertson has filed a complaint with the City in regards to <br />Guy's Trucking parking their semi trailers in a certain way, whereby <br />they block the view of Discount 10 Liquor Store from motorist traveling <br />north on Highway 10. Him states that the present situation is going <br />to cause a serious accident because customers cannot see his place until <br />they are right upon it, which is caused by the way Guy's park their <br />semi trailers. Jim states this is having a serious effect on his business. <br /> <br />Jim Gilbertson came before the Council and stated for the record his <br />disapproval of the zoning next door due to the grandfathered business. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated we should treat all grandfathered business problems <br />the same way and address the problem on a base basis. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated we should try to set up a contract with <br />grandfathered businesses with guidelines in which to work within. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated we should try to contact and explain the problem <br />to Guy's Trucking and referred building official Berg to contact <br />Guy's Trucking. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Comncilman Cox <br />to direct the staff to start inventorying and cataloging all grand- <br />fathered and non-conforming businesses in the City of Ramsey so that <br />when problems come up we know where we stand. <br /> <br />Discussion: Councilman Reimann stated P&Z Commission should give <br />direction at the problem. Councilman Sorteberg stated it is a good <br />idea to get started however how can we determine who is is business <br />and what is grandfathered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilman Cox, Councilwoman Van Wagner, <br />Councilman Sorteberg and Councilman Reimama. Voting no: Mayor G~nec. <br /> <br />C/April 28, 1981 <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
