Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimama to direct <br />staff to prepare a resolution in accommodation in saving child's life by <br />police officers that performed CPR. Resolution #81-27a. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Cox, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Sorteberg and Councilwoman Van Wagner. Voting no: <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented Officer Gustafson was struck by a car on Highway <br />47 and is recuperating without serious injuries and passed a get-well <br />car around for the Council to sign. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec at this time informed citizens in the audience of the <br />increase recently in burgulary in Ramsey and asked the citizens to <br />report to the police any strange cars or strange events. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox mentioned the CETA summer program for youth. <br /> <br />D-1 STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />1) City Assessor <br />2) City Engineer <br />3) Building Official <br /> <br />The Council noted the above reports and made the following comments: <br /> <br />Regarding the Assessor's report, Councilman Cox stated he would like <br />to know about the northern tear of Anoka's land values. City Administrator <br />Schnelle stated we should get a map showing the tiers and breakdown <br />surrounding the city. Mayor Gamec stated he wouldlike Administrator <br />Schnelle to have the City Assessor prepare a map showing Ramsey, Andover~ <br />Anoka and if possible East Bethel and Bethel for Council review. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to proclaim <br />May 3-9th "Be Kind to Animals Week". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilman Gamec, Councilman Cox, Councilman <br />Sorteberg, Councilman Reimann and Councilwoman Van Wagner. Voting no: <br />None. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle commented on the hiring of an assistant and <br />would later discuss further on the agenda. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox commented that the Anoka Area Businessman's Association <br />would like Ramsey to assist in legislation on tax apportionment. He <br />suggested appointment of a member of the Economic Development Committee <br />for appointment. <br /> <br />Motion by Couneilman Cox to direct the staff to cooperate with whoever <br />is on the Economic Development Committee to authorize the Economic <br />Development Committee to utilize funds available to assist. <br />Councilman Cox withdrew his motion. <br />($3,685.00 is allocated for the Boards and Commissions including the <br />Economic Development Commission.) <br />Councilman Cox and Councilman Sorteberg are working with the Economic <br />Development Committee and Mayor Gamec asked Councilman Cox and Sorteberg <br />to look into this matter. <br /> <br />C/April 28, 1981 <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
