CASE #2 REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TO CALL FOR BIDS ON CITY DUMP TRUCK: <br /> <br />Councilman Rei~tm_n stated he is in favor of the purchase of a <br />truck now and has talked with Merle and will go along with his <br />recommendations to purcahse a truck as it will save maintenance <br />costs of present trucks. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to approve authorization to call for bids on a city dump truck. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van Wagner, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Sorteber gaud Councilman Cox. Voting <br />no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #3 REQUEST FOR REZONING FROM R-1 to B-I; CASE LOT 3 BLOCK 4 <br /> <br />KLEMISH ADDITION: <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Klemish is requesting the rezoning of Lot 3, Block 4, <br />of the Klemish Addition from R-1 to B-1. This request has been <br />before the Ramsey Planning Commission and they rec6mmended dis- <br />approval of the request. <br /> <br />Citizen Steve Kolb of 16726 Quicksilver came before the CoUncil and is <br />opposed to the rezoning request. Zoning is residential on 3 sides and <br />poor planning to put a commercial building there. Debbie Kolb stated <br />she thought the value of her home would go down and it also would <br />destroy the neighborhood for the children. <br /> <br />Mr. Wicht, 16727 Radium Street came before the Council and stated <br />he is also opposed to the rezoning request. <br /> <br />Shirley Prahl of 171st Street stated she would be the one putting in <br />a beauty shop there and with commercial across the street this would <br />be a good location and there wouldn't be much more traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. Klemish stated he thought the city should encourage commercial <br />development. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he is in favor of commercial business however <br />that street is a good buffer. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated there is no other room to zone commercial <br />across the street except this lot. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated there should be a 12th finding of fact <br />as follows: Neither the existing nor the proposed comprehensive plans <br />provide for the subject property to be zoned commercial. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />to adopt the findings of fact as presented which consist of 12 items <br />and based on said findings of fact to deny the zoning request and <br />also in light .of the citizens concern living adjacent to the property. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
