The Council discussed the proposal of requesting <br />a repetitioning by addition instead of an entire project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman <br />Sorteberg to disapprove the Bower's Mississippi Acres <br />street improvement project 81-3 at this time. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated he felt it would be more appropriate <br />due to the extreme amount of desire instead of repetitioning, <br />readvertise and hold another public hearing. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated he should be specific in his <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated restaking of the road creates more <br />problems and the present roadway should be considered. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg stated at this time he is in favor <br />of repetitioning. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated a neighborhood feud would be created <br />by that and we should have a new hearing. <br /> <br />Motion dies for lack of a vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman <br />Cox to call for a public hearing to discuss Bower's Drive <br />as tarring the existing road with drainage where necessary; <br />the entire three additions; not changing the road. <br /> <br />Discussion: Council discussion regarding decision on the <br />project determined by public hearing vs. council decision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilwoman Van Wagner, <br />Mayor Gamec and Councilman Cox. Voting no: Councilman <br />Sorteberg and Councilman Reimann. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated a public hearing notice would be mailed <br />and the date would be July 28, 1981. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilwoman Van <br />Wagner to have a straw vote at the public hearing on Bower's <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilman Cox, Councilwoman <br />Van Wagner, and Mayor Gamec.
