Mayor Gamec stated Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller wrote a letter <br />to the City stating opposition to the proposed improvement <br />project. Mayor Gamec also stated the Pearson's also <br />wrote a letter to the City stating opposition to the <br />proposed improvement project. <br /> <br />Resident Dennis Potter, 14200 Bower's Drive, came before <br />the Council and asked if the proejct could be considerd as <br />two proposals, the 2nd and 3rd addition and the 1st addition. <br />He is in favor of paving the 2nd and 3rd addition. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated breaking it up could be a Problem. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec at this time asked how many people (one per <br />household) were present from Bower's Drive. Count <br />indicated 36. He asked how many were opposed to the <br />whole project - Count indicated 17. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked how many residents of Bower's Drive <br />were from the 2nd and 3rd Addition. No count indicated. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec tried to get an indication from the citizens <br />on the following, however there was some confusion as to <br />who should vote for what and counts for the record were <br />not taken: <br /> <br />How many want Bowers Drive paved: <br /> <br />1. Go back to the original centerline <br />2. Doing whole project putting centerline where <br /> it should be <br />3. Put the road in the spot where it is supposed to <br /> be with drainage <br />4. Leave the road where it is with drainage and blacktop <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to close the public hearing on Bower's Drive. <br /> <br />Mo~ion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman <br />Van Wagner, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and <br />Councilman Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />The Bower's Drive public hearing was closed at 7:55 P.M. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />Public Hearing - 7:57 <br /> <br />Rhinestone and Uranimite <br />Streets N.W0, 151, & 152 Ave. N.W., <br />150, 151 and 152 LN, N.W., Street <br />Improvement Project ~81-4. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka discussed the proposed consideration <br />of making a tarvia street improvement. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked for citizen input. <br /> <br />SpC/June 30, 1981 <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
