Further they felt <br />if they extended a through street to serve these two businesses in the <br />future, it would generate too much interior traffic out on to Highway #5 <br />instead of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />that there be a joint driveway to serve James Refrigeration and the Dental <br />Clinic without the opportunity for an extended road and also to grant a <br />variance on the soil boring and access to County Road #5. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Council also reviewed James Refrigeration site and design plan (Plat 89223 <br />Parcel 7280 generally known as 152XX Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota). <br />It was also pointed out to the Council that they were also proposing a ser- <br />vice station at this site which has Urban Multiple Business zoning and this <br />will require special review as established by 170.O151(3) of the City Code <br />Standards and Permitted Uses. <br /> <br />It was further pointed out to the Council that Planning and Zoning has recom- <br />mended that the Council hold a public hearing on this case regarding the <br />granting of special zoning for a service station at this site. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich advises the Council to hold a public hearing and pre- <br />pare findings of fact in regards to the request for a service station at the <br />above location. <br /> <br />Mr. Zelenak, 15250 Nowthen Blvd. states he cannot foresee a superette and <br />gas station in this neighborhood and requests that a public hearing be held <br />on this request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Cox to have <br />a public hearing concerning James Refrigeration proposed site and design plan <br />located at Plat 89223 Parcel 7280 which contains provisions for a superette <br />and a service station to be held at 7:30 P.M., August 25, 1981. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CASE #14: NEWSLETTER: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox requested that the City put a caption in the newsletter <br />requesting citizens to use Ramsey in their address rather than Anoka. <br /> <br />CASE #15: WESTPHAL CONSTRUCTION REGARDING EASEMENT PAYMENT: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to pay <br />$1,0OO to Westphal Construction, Inc. for public natural drainage purposes <br />over and across: <br /> <br />The South 50.00 feet of the North 83.00 feet of the South 986.35 <br />feet of the East 100.00 feet of the West 650.00 feet of the South <br />Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota.
