CASE #9: AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE AIR COMPRESSOR: <br /> <br />Council reviewed the price quotes received for the air compressor which are <br />contained in enclosure (D3-i) of Council agenda dated July 28, 1981. The <br />original quotes are on file at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution #81-106 Authorizing the Purchase of Sears Air Compressor <br />as it was the lowest price quote. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />resolution #81-106) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner~ Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CASE #10: LICENSES FOR APPROVAL: <br /> <br />The licenses presented were approved except for Mark Starr Excavating. The <br />reason being Mark Starr Excavating has a Ramsey address and must be checked <br />by City Administrator Schnelle prior to issuing his license. <br /> <br />CASE #11: TREES IN DITCH CUT BY ROADSIDE MOWING AT 17765 TONTO STREET N.W.: <br /> <br />Mr. Kaster explained to the City Council about how the City crew had cut down <br />trees in the street easement by his residence. He stated that the City should <br />have contacted him in regards to this before they took it upon themselves to <br />cut them down. Council reviewed the City Street Superintendent's memo dated <br />July 21, 1981, in regards to this issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec assured Mr. Kaster that the City did care but it boils down to <br />an issue in regards to street right-of-way which the City maintains a rather <br />strict policy on it. <br /> <br />Mr. Kaster stated he thought the City should at least purchase trees to re- <br />place the ones they destroyed. However, the City stated that was not their <br />policy in regards to trees in street right-of-way. <br /> <br />CASE #12: FINANCE: <br /> <br />Council noted the contents contained in enclosure (D3-k) which are as follows: <br /> <br />a) Tax settlement from County <br />b) Letter from Minnesota Department of Revenue regarding the for- <br /> warding of State Aid, Homestead Credit, Attached Machinery and <br /> Wetland funds. <br />c) League Action Alert Bulletin regarding All Savers Certificate <br /> which will have an impact/threat on municipal bond market. <br /> <br />CASE #13: MOVING IN HOUSE REQUEST FOR; CASE OF HERITAGE BUILDERS: <br /> <br />Council reviewed Heritage Builders request to move a house into the City <br />of Ramsey.
