Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CASE #6 COMMUNITY SCHOOL BUDGET 1982: <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann suggests cutting all,or at least part, of the Community <br />Program. Councilmember Cox agrees with some weeding out of expenses and <br />an increase in fees. Mayor Gamec replied that you cannot find a better <br />program for the money. Council directs staff to have Marc Hadley recommend <br />some cuts to get the 1982 cost of the program down to that of the 1981 costs. <br /> <br />CASE #7 CITY OF RAMSEY PUBLIC WORKS REGARDING THE STRIPING OF MSA STREETS <br /> <br />AND PURCHASING OF TIRE CHANGER AND PURCHASE OF PUMPS: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve Public Works Superintendent's request for authorization to stripe <br />certain MSA streets (hazard and center lines only) which would include <br />167th Avenue between T.H. #47 and County Road #5 and also on Variolite Street <br />and 155th Avenue, west of County Road #56, for a total cost of approximately <br />$400.00. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, <br />Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Merle Mevissen advises City Council that a tire changer Will save time and <br />money, not to mention the safety feature. Mayor Gamec feels that if we <br />are taking chances trying to fix tires ourselves, then we should save time <br />and go with the safety of a tire changer. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann <br />to approve to adopt Resolution #81-131, accepting low price quote for the <br />purchase of a tire changer from Universal Equipment Mfg. Co. in the amount <br />of $1,785.00 (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #81-131). <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Cox and <br />Sorteberg. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve to adopt Resolution #81-132, accepting low price quote from Hayden <br />Murphy Co. for the purchase of trash pump with hoses for $917.00. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #81-132). Motion carried. Voting <br />Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Cox and Sorteberg. Voting No: <br />None. <br /> <br />CASE #8 TAX LEVY: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to submit <br />a certified letter to the Commissioner of Revenue requesting an extension of <br />time up through November 18, 1981 to submit tax levy to Anoka County <br />Auditor. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, <br />Sorteberg and Reimann.
