Case #2 - Meadowbrook Estates Final Plat <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />approving of granting the six (6) month extension of time. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no None. Members Absent Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #3 - Taxing of Wes Bulen's land if it were a golf course <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that this matter is going to have to be discussed <br />with County Commissioner Ed Fields. <br /> <br />Case #4 - Granting a variance as required by the interim development regu- <br /> lation in the Critical Area for 150 foot setback to construct a <br /> house; case of Randy Elofson <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />grant a variance setback from the Mississippi River of 150 feet in lieu of <br />the required 200 feet to Mr. Randy Elofson to construct a house on Plat <br />89234 Parcel 5910. This is granted on the basis that the City allowed a <br />house to be constructed within 130 feet of the Mississippi River previous <br />to this request. Further, this variance will not create a problem in re- <br />gards to the flood plain or the requirements of the vritical area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no None. Members Absent Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #5 - Requesting Permission to Construct a Garage Prior to Building a <br /> house on Lot 1 Block 1 Alpaca Estates Second Addition; case of <br /> Mr. Mel Weisenberg. <br /> <br />Council wishes to treat this request as an isolated situation. Mr. Weisenberg <br />is advised to take necessary steps to present his request to the Board of <br />Adjustment. <br /> <br />Case #6 - Home Occupation Permit to Operate a Beauty Shop, case of Ms. <br /> Suzanne Lawson, 7530 - 151st Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember cox to <br />approve the Findings of Fact prepared regarding Ms. Suzanne Lawson's <br />quest for a home occupation permit to operate a beauty <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no None. Members Absent Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />approve granting a home occupation permit to Ms. Suzanne Lawson to operate <br />a beauty shop at 7530 - 151st Avenue N.W. Further to authorize the Mayor <br />and City Administrator to sign the agreement between the City and Ms. <br />Lawson. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no None.
