29) <br /> <br />Letter dated October 9, 1981 from Karen Jarvey, First Bank <br />Minneapolis, to City Administrator regarding charges for investment <br />instruments. <br /> <br />so) <br /> <br />Letter dated October 13, 1981, from Building Official to Owner/ <br />Occupant at 8855 - 176th Avenue NW regarding building permit for <br />detached garage. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner made special note of Letter #10 (Mr. Studer's <br />letter to Mr. Pettit). Councilmember Van Wagner suggests Council should <br />send a letter to the Manager of Tom Thumb requesting improvement of store <br />appearance. Councilmember Cox stated that we should not approach the matter <br />of appearance in a selective manner. We should also enforce appearance in <br />the residential neighborhoods. A copy of Mr. Studer's letter was most <br />likely sent to the Manager of Tom Thumb, maybe we will get some results <br />without any action by Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle requested Council to make special note of Letter #'s 17, 19 <br />and 21. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle also made special note of Letter #23 regarding Rum River <br />Bridge Crossing. Mr. Schnelle reported that the County has made good <br />progress. Environmental Report is moving right along and everything <br />should be back to the County no later than March. Mr. Cohen is searching <br />for Federal funds. County expects to be working on plans and specs in <br />the Fall of 1982. If no Federal funds are available, Ed Fields is in <br />£avor of going to the County Board for bonding. <br /> <br />D-2 COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />I~solution adopting assessments for Improvement Project #81-15, <br />Sealcoating 157th Lane NW, 158th Lane NW, 158th Avenue NW, Radium <br />Street, and Sodium Street <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that he hoped Council would get together and <br />pass this resolution because at previous meetings Council decided on 100% <br />assessment and it is bad policy to change minds now. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to adopt Resolution #81-162, A resolution Adopting Assessments for <br />Sealocating Project #81-15. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #81-162.) <br /> <br />Motion carried.
