City Engineer Raatikka brought up the fact that he had received a call from <br />the City of Anoka's consulting engineers, Short, Elliott and Hendrickson in <br />regards to the possibility of extending the Anoka sewer system to service <br />the southeast corner of Ramsey. He stated that Anoka is looking for a <br />sharing of the costs involved in jacking a lateral under the railroad tracks <br />and on State Highway #10 next to the Tech Center. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox author- <br />izing City Engineer Raatikka to meet with Elliott, Short and Hendrickson <br />and thc City of Anoka regarding the possibilities of extending sewer ser- <br />vice from Anoka into the southeast corner of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka was excused from the meeting at 9:17 P.M. <br /> <br />Case #5 - Insurance (Public Officials Liability): <br /> <br />Mr. Newell Chester was present and summarized the public officials liability <br />policy for the Council. <br /> <br />Motion I~y Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to approve <br />of Insurance Service Centers purchasing public officials liability insurance <br />from Western World Insurance for the City of Ramsey in the amount of $1,817.95. <br /> <br />Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that if we do a conscientious job <br />that we don't need liability insurance. <br /> <br />Mr. Chester stated that even the most conscientious public person can find <br />himse].f in the position of being sued. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg <br />and Cox. Voting no Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #6 - Revenue Sharing Budget, 1982; City Budget, 1982; and Capital Pro- <br /> <br /> gram Budget for Council Action: <br /> <br />This item was tabled and action was taken on October 28, 1981. <br /> <br />Case #7 - Health Insurance: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann not to <br />increase the City share from $90.00 effective January 1, 1982 for health <br />insurance coverage for those covered by the City's health group plan. <br /> <br />Discussion: Council reviewed Enclosure D2-g of October 27, 1981 addendum <br />to Council agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
