5.01: Future Business Park (Step #2)
Mr. Mike Mulrooney made a presentation to the EDA regarding the future business park layout
and manufacturing in Minnesota.
Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama stated this information will be included
in the final report and detailed review. He stated they just recently did a space needs analysis for
the Public Works Department and found some additional space available for redevelopment and
that is another factor that will play into the recommendation used in the analysis that will be
brought forward in January.
Member Riley wondered if there will be some sort of sensitivity analysis of it and if it could be
better or worse. He thought this configuration is good but if it is only configured two thirds of
that, what kind of numbers would be produced.
Mr. Mulrooney thought that could be included in there. He stated the other property is kind of a
game changer too on how things could be paid for. He thought they would try to minimize any
cost to the City from a business park standpoint and the question is how they get this done
without huge infrastructure costs to the City. He thought there was discussion that had to occur
with the landowners and/or future landowners. The main mission is to bring this along because
he thought there were significant advantages for the community in the long run to have this
future business park available for the public for future development.
Member Riley stated he liked this plan but would like to have a sensitivity configuration done.
5.02: Life Fitness Project
Economic Dev.
