(NTI) has completed a total of 22 soil borings for the Andrie Street and 164th <br />Lane reconstruction project in Ramsey, Minnesota. The scope of services included determining existing <br />bituminous and aggregate base thicknesses, and subsurface conditions, and providing recommendations <br />for site preparation, excavations, engineered fill and compaction, depths of unsuitable soils to be <br />removed, ground water management and potential difficulties during construction. Our services were <br />performed in accordance with our proposal dated September 21, 2015. <br />PROJECT AND SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The proposed project consists of improvements to the existing Andrie Street/164th Lane starting at <br />Alpine Drive and terminating at Jarvis Street in the City of Ramsey, Minnesota. NTI assumes that the <br />proposed project may include below grade utility improvements, minor grade changes and resurfacing <br />the roadway. <br />NTI was not aware of invert elevations or other design details of the proposed utilities at the time this <br />report was prepared. <br />SUBSURFACE EXPLORATION SUMMARY <br />NTI performed the subsurface exploration program during the period of November 3 to November 4, <br />2015 with a two -person crew using a truck -mounted CME -55 drill rig. Samples were generally collected <br />in accordance with ASTM D 1586 "Standard Test Method for Standard Penetration Testing (SPT) and <br />Split -Barrel Sampling of Soils."
