Ago Ramsey,
Street Improvements
Ramsey, Minnesota
N%. NTI Project No. 15.61197.100
The boring locations and depths were determined by City of Ramsey personnel. The borings terminated
at nominal of 10 feet below the existing ground surface. NTI assumes a ground surface elevation equal
to zero for every location. Subsurface conditions are summarized in the table below. Please refer to the
boring logs for additional information.
Table 1: Pavement and Subgrade Summary
Apparent
Boring Bituminous Aggregate Fill) Subgrade SubgradeNative
No. Thickness Base Material l Notes
Mater
(in) Thickness Material
B-1 1 %2
5 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-2 2
5 SP -SM
SP
7 Feet of Existing Fill
B-3 2
6 SP -SM
SP -SM
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-4 3
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-5 2
7 SP -SM
SP-SM/SC
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-6 2 %2
3 SP -SM
SP -SM
2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-7 2
4 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-8 1 %2
5 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-9 1
3 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-10 1
5 SP -SM
SP
4 % Feet of Existing Fill
B-11 2
4 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-12 2
4 SP -SM
SP
7 Feet of Existing Fill
B-13 2
4 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-14 3
4 SP -SM
SP
2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-15 4
5 SP
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-16 3
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-17 4
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-18 3
4 SP -SM
SP
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-19 3
4 SP -SM
SC/SP-SM
4 %2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-20 2
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
7Feet of Existing Fill
B-21 3
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
2 Feet of Existing Fill
B-22 1
4 SP -SM
SP -SM
4.5 Feet of Existing Fill
GROUNDWATER AND GROUNDWATER CONTROL
Groundwater was observed in borings SB -21 and SB -22 at depths of 7 and 8 feet below the ground
surface, respectively.
Groundwater was not observed in
the remainder
of our soil borings at the time of
our explorations. Groundwater elevations can change due to precipitation events seasonally, changes in
topography and site development, and due to long-term
climate changes. Also, soil conditions between
borings may be conducive to localized seeps or perched
water zones that may be permanent or
transient.
UTILITIES
The fill and native soils
observed in soil borings were generally suitable
for utility support. For utilities
with planned invert elevations
within the existing fill, we recommend
that at least the upper 1 foot of
