Public Hearing <br />Page 2 <br />February 26, 1979 <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated that it is the metes and bounds parcels. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated it would actually allow the City more control on subdivisions. <br /> <br />Bruce Bacon stated that ten acre zoning would create a different type of housing <br />in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer stated he is generally in favor of the decrease in the size of lots <br />and feels the City should look at the frontage of lots in the Transitional Area. <br /> <br />Ms. Valerie Benson stated she owns quite a bit of land in the Rural Service Area <br />and stated that people do not have any respect for her land. She stated she has <br />snowmobilers through her field of rye that she rents to a farmer. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated that in response to Ms. Benson's comment that the respect <br />for open land just isn't there. <br /> <br />Ms. Benson stated that she must carry extra insurance as someone could get hurt <br />on her land. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
