Abstaining: Councilman Mickelson. <br /> <br />NOTE BOARDS AND COMMISSION MEETINGS <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON CRITICAL RIVERS DATED.'APRIL'17,~1979 <br /> <br />It was noted that the Planning Commission plans to report further information on <br />Critical Rivers after their next meeting. <br /> <br />LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />CITY PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reported that the Public Works Superintendent will be reviewing the <br />sign situation with the Police Department. <br /> <br />A short discussion was held regarding snowplowing at the landfill. Councilman <br />Cox said the Manager of the Landfill should be reminded that they agreed to plow <br />the snow so he doesn't forget about this next winter. <br /> <br />TREE INSPECTOR <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox to authorize' the expenditure of $40 for Tree Inspector <br />Bruce Bacon to attend a one day.short course at the St. Paul Campus for <br />certification as tree inspector. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested waiti~ng until the brochure is presented to be sure <br />we are authorizing the proper amou'nt. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox withdrew the motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to authorize the <br />Tree Inspector, Bruce Bacon to attend the one-day short course at the St. Paul <br />Campus and to pay the regular registration fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CITY ASSESSOR <br /> <br />Report accepted as presented. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox noted that since the Assessor has completed the assessment <br />procedure that he could help the Building Official with inspections. He is <br />concerned with the State Aid issue and would like to see some of the in-house <br />help work on getting some cooperation from other cities. He asked Building <br />Official Berg if he could make some contacts in this regard and have the <br />Assessor take more of the inspections. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that the Board of Review will be held on April 15, 1979. <br /> <br /> <br />
