PAGE 13 <br />MAY 29, 1979 <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />AMENDMENT FOR LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the details of the grant previously awarded to the City by the <br />Metro Council in the amount of $4096 for a Community Comprehensive Grant. The <br />second grant amendment for Local Planning Assistance is for $4412. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adopt a <br />Resolution entitled "First Amendment to Grant Agreement 78-79 between the <br />Metro Council and the City of RamseS'authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator-Clerk <br />to sign said agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR APPROVAL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approved the Bills <br />for the month of May 1979 for a total expenditure of $96,709.79 minus transfers <br />of $7,288.00 for an actual total of $89,421.79. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by ~5uncilman Cox to approve partial payment <br />to NDH Inc., for $31,066.08. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox to adjoumn. <br /> <br />Motion died, no second. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to adjourn. <br /> <br />Motion died - Voting yes: Councilman Reimann and Councilman Sorteberg. Voting <br />no: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox and Mickelson. <br /> <br />AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER FOR GROSSLEIN BEVERAGE <br /> <br />Building Official Berg recommends a variance be granted by Council for the following <br />reasons: 1. The Grosslein building is similar in size to only the Mate Punch <br /> and Die addition. Therefore, the result is a reduced fire hazard. <br /> 2. The proposed use of the structure poses a minimal fire hazard. <br /> Far less than that which exists at Mate Punch and Die. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann~nd seconded by Councilman Cox to waive the sprinkler <br />system for Grosslein Beverage based on the Building Official's reeo~mmendation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg.
