PAGE 1 <br />MAY 29, !979 · <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on May 29, 1979, at 15153 <br />Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> <br />City Adm. Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engr. Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Council meeting to order at 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked about the contract between Lee's Landscaping and the <br />City. Mayor Gamec stated this item could be reviewed under Staff Reports. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox also mentioned the fact that the City Engineering office has <br />certain documents etc., that the City staff should have made available to them <br />so they have an opportunity to review it. This includes items relating to <br />street improvements etc. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox also pointed out that the weather is now condusive to take care of <br />the septic tank by the Tom Thumb Store on Ramsey Boulevard. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld reports that the tank has been filled in and there is no safety <br />or health hazard present at this time~ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann seconded by Councilman Cox to approve the agenda as <br />received provided adjournment of the meeting is 11:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Nelson, 17711 Vicuna Street, in Windsorwood Addition and his realtor were <br />present in regard to subdividing a three acre parcel into two 1.5 acre lots. The <br />lots as proposed would not have adequate frontage as required by the ordinance. <br /> <br />It was noted that there has been no formal request submitted for this subdivision. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich explained that Council has just denied a request which is similar <br />in nature. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox that Mr. Nelson follow the regular subdivision procedure <br />for a request of this type. The reason being: It is of the magnitude that it <br />deserves the proper respect of the ordinance to follow the subdivision procedure. <br /> <br />Motion died due to lack of a second. <br /> <br /> <br />
