PAGE 2 <br />MAY 29, 1979 <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />Councilman Cox added that he feels in fairness to everyone that he go through <br />the regular subdivision procedure and as it was previously indicated, ~-~ acres <br />is the minimum lot size requirement in this area. <br /> <br />Mr. Earl McNiff was present with an informal request to construct a pole <br />barn on his property as he desires to raise some cattle. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec pointed out that he has to have three acres for each animal. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle reports that Mr. McNiff wants to construct a 1,400 square <br />foot building and it is over the allowable size according to the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. McNiff indicated he plans to have a hobby shop in this building also. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle reports that Mr. McNiff claims that at one time he was given <br />approval to build to take care of whatever he required. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec invited Mr. McNiff to come into the City office and research the <br />minutes to validate this claim. <br /> <br />It was also indicated to Mr. McNiff that he would still need a variance. <br /> <br />Mr. Lyle Daugherty was present and commented regarding a letter he submitted to <br />the City in complaint concerning what he feels to be improper installation of his <br />septic system. He reports he has been unable to get any results from the builder <br />regarding this problem. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson informed Mr. Daugherty that he has no way of detecting the <br />cause of this problem without digging it up. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox concurred that it should be dug up so that the City's building official <br />can look at it. <br /> <br />Mr. Daugherty said he feels there is definitely something wrong with the way it <br />has been installed when you can't run a snake straight out. He said he is going to <br />dig it up so the building inspector can check it. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PUBLIC HEARING ON SHERWIN SHENK DATED MAY-'14~ ~79 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the minutes <br />of the May 14, 1979, Board of Adjustment hearing as received. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON STREET IMPROVEMENT OF 156TH AVENUE DATED'MAY 14~ i979 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the minutes <br />of the Public Hearing of May 14, 1979 as received. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br /> <br />
