Councilman Cox added that Council had asked explicity before proceeding with the <br />project if everyone on the petition was in favor of the project. If it is the <br />case that Mr. Post isn't in favor it should not have gone this far and spent money <br />for this study, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Post asked if there isn't someway to check· into thiS problem to see if he <br />is a contributing factor to the water problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann that the City Engineer <br />review the area to determine the amount of benefit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />PART-TIME EMPLOYEE STATUS: CASE OF. ARLENE'STAFFORD <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilman MickelSon to approve the increase <br />in hours per week for Arlene Stafford to 35 hoUrs per week'.' <br /> <br />Motion carried. COMMISSION <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve the hiring <br />of Arlene Peddycoart for 30 hours a week to serve as Planning Commission secre- <br />tary. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MAY 29,, 1979 COUNCIL MEETINGMINUTES <br /> <br />Discussion regarding Bill Aydt rezoning. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the background of this issue is that Mr~ Aydt was located <br />and operating his business before the new zoning came into being. He is a <br />grandfathered business. He is located next to Ramsey'Elementary School and <br />also borders a residential area. The object of the zoning UMB-2 was to cut down <br />on the traffic. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox noted that a truss company used to be next.tO Mr. Aydt also. <br />It was zoned UMB-2 so that these two businesses would be able to Sell their <br />businesses in the future for equity reasons. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to table the approval <br />of the Regular Council meeting minutes of 5/29/79 until the July 23rd meeting to <br />research the records and to review the issue thoroughlY. <br /> <br /> -12' <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br /> 6/11/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
