Voting no: None. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING ON MICHAEL BOYCE OF MAY 29, 1979 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve <br />the min. utes of the Board of Adjustment held in regard to Michael Boyce dated <br />5/29/79 as received. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None~ <br /> <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 29, 1979 <br /> <br />Council tabled approval of these minutes until the City Attorney arrives at this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann corrected Page 8, New Business, the petition for 179th <br />speed limit sign should reflect that it was presented by Linda Wolfbauer and <br />also that she took the petition around for signatures. <br /> <br />NOTE BOARDS AND COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented that the Personnel Committee minutes should reflect that he <br />discussed the hiring of a full-time City Engineer. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox commented regarding the Park and Recreation, Subcommittee list, <br />he questioned why Trott Brook isn't included as one of the parks listed as <br />a responsibility for the subcommittee. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested that it could be considered under the "Trail Oriented <br />Projects", but that it could be spelled out specifically and that the main idea <br />of this Subcommittee was so that they could go out and check the listed parks <br />every week or so for broken swings, etc. <br /> <br />Discussion held regarding the Trott Brook area. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox suggested indicating to the P & Z and Park Commissions that <br />Council, presently, as in the past, feels that Trott Brook area is a No. 1 <br />priority. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he feels that possibly it may be more of a priority for P & R <br />and Council and that P & Z feels it is an issue of who wants it. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox sited certain park areas of importance in the City, <br /> a) Landfill area <br /> b) General Mills property <br /> c) Rum River <br /> d) Mississippi River <br /> e) Trott Brook area. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he feels it should be preserved but that P & Z in <br />considering proposed developments in this area, questions how much is the City <br />willing to give to get this land. <br /> <br /> -2- <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br /> 6/ 1~79 <br /> <br /> <br />
