SHADE TREE PROGRAM APPLICATION <br /> <br />We are eligible for a grant to plant 50 trees with the State picking <br />up 90 percent of $60 per tree or they will pick up if the tree <br />costs us $50 (as an example) they will pay 90 percent of that. However, <br />$60 is the maximum they will pay on any one tree. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />adopt the following resolution to approve of the City of Ramsey, <br />Anoka County to apply to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR SHADE TREE 'GRANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Agriculture, State of Minnesota <br />has authorized a grant for Cities of population under 4,000 (according <br />to 1970 census) which they may apply which includes 90 percent of the <br />cost but not more than $60 per tree for the first 50 trees. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council hereby authorize the Mayor and City <br />Administrator Clerk to sign the above stated' grant agreement in order <br />that the City may participate in this shade grant program. <br /> <br /> 2. Adopted this 23rd day of July 1979 by the City Council of <br />the City of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimarm, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. Absent: Councilman Cox. <br /> <br />BARTHEL' S SECOND 'ADDITION <br /> <br />A letter was received from Mr. Barthel requesting a waiver on the <br />blacktopping requirement for his plat, Barthel's Second Addition. <br />Attorney Goodrich will draw up a contract with them and bond for the <br />future blacktopping. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR APPROVAL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson <br />to approve the payment to NDH Inc., for Project 78-1,2,and 3 for $9,166.35. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. Absent: Councilman Cox. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson, seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to approve <br />the payment to NDH Inc. for Project 78-4 in the amount of $26,'716.40. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: .:Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.
