Mr. Aydt said he cannot bring in potential buyers and have therq turned <br />down and jostled back and forth between Council and P & Z. <br />Attorney Goodrich recommended Mr. Aydt go through the~ning application. <br /> <br />Counci~nan Mickelson said that traffic would develop along Co. Road 5 <br />anyway so that the traffic really isn't an issue here. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg feels that because he is surrounded by residential <br />he will still need to buffer his land. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka pointed out that when he subdivides he will need <br />another access and it is right where Pondvale's access will be. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said technically he has a conditional use now. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he has no problem with this being zoned lIMB and that <br />Mr. Aydt should contact Mr. Paul Ruud, County Engineer to check for <br />any future accesses onto Nowthen Boulevard. <br /> <br />TUNGSTEN AND FRONT STREET STORM SEWER'PROJECT'REGARDING'THE POST PROPERTY <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reported that the property is recommended to be reduced <br />from the assessment and the rest of~.the Property owners ag~sessment will <br />be increased to pickup this decreaSe.' <br /> <br />IMPRO ~VEMENT PRO~_~_crs .78-1_, 2,3, &~ 4 REGARDING 'LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br /> <br />Mr. Kreger was present to discuss this matter. <br /> <br />The City has received complaints on restoration of ditches, damages to mail <br />boxes, and the street department has had to go out and do considerable <br />work on the project. Engineering fees since 5/28/79 are $550.00 and <br />about $200 labor cost for laying black dirt. <br /> <br />Mr. Kreger said he bad some costs that he never applied to this project, <br />cleaning ditches, etc., so he would like some of the City cost reduced by <br />$1oo. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle stated that the citizens paying for the project <br />are subjected to hardshSp if the construction crew leaves big piles of <br />dirt without barricading it. <br /> <br />Mr. Kreger said he didn't get any calls or complaints and wondered why the <br />City just went ahead and did this work. <br /> <br />Adm. Schnelle said the prime contractor was notified and that Mr. Kreger':s <br />men were no where in site and because of the danger a barricade had to <br />be installed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann to charge $!',000 for co.stl that the engineer and <br />city incurred pursuant to the liquidated damages portion of the contract. <br /> <br />Motion died for lack of second. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br /> July 23, 1979 <br /> Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
