Councilman Cox told Mr. Aydt that he had a non-conforming use at present. <br />And that he had no problem with permitting UMB zoning for Mr. Aydt ~nd <br />that it is covered in the Urban Development Contract for any expanded use. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle commented that with a conditional use contract <br />form Mr. Aydt would have to come before the Council any time he wanted <br />to expand. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimarm said he would like to see Mr. Aydt plant a couple <br />rows of trees now on the south side of his property for screening of <br />the residential area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann that the staff <br />draw "Findings of Fact" and a Resolution to adopt or deny the UMB~.zoning. <br />And, Mr. Aydt may proceed to acquire a conditional use permit to operate <br />his business. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />DUTCH ELM AND OAK WILT DISEASED TREES; ESTABLISH 'THE WHOLE CITY IN CONTROL <br />'ZONE <br /> <br />Bruce Bacon reported that there is a need to iniate a program for reforestation. <br />And to create a program for disease tree removal and control. He said most <br />of the Elm trees in the City are along the water courses. The trees must <br />be in a control zone before the tree inspector can go onto private property. <br />Lie would have to have voluntary effort for marking the trees. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />establish the City as a control zone for facility in marking diseased <br />trees by the tree inspector, but not enforcing at this time, removal <br />of diseased trees. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented Councilman Reimann with an award, a plaque of <br />appreciation for his efforts and hard work in reforestation, replanting <br />trees and tree sales for the City. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox suggested that for the next tree sale, a brochure be sent <br />out advertising what the prices of the trees is going to be. <br /> <br />ROLAND LOOYAN - DETERMINATION OF ROAD EASEMENT IN REGARD TO HIS PROPERTY <br /> <br />Discussion held on the road easement. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle reviewed the case to Council.stating that Council <br />should make a decision on whether or not they want this road easement. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br /> August 27, 1979 <br /> Page 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
