Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CltANGE ORDER #5 TO VARIOLITE STREET 'IMPROVEMENT PROJECT '79-2 <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka explained the problem that has been encountered on this <br />project between 168th Avenue and 169th Lane, that they ran into a spring. <br />He recommends putting in some drain tile and the contractor has estimated <br />the cost of this to be $5,975.00. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson stated that he wanted additional filter aggregate around <br />the pipe a minimum of one foot around the pipe. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimarm to pay $5,000 to <br />try to correct this problem using the same size pipe but more filter aggregate <br />a minimum of one foot around the pipe. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: b~yor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />REVENUE SHARING PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Councilman Cox suggested that the Revenue Sharing monies could be used for <br />purchasing future recreational facilities for use of the City. <br /> <br />A discussion was held regarding State Parks, and Councilman Cox said he did <br />not feel that the City should be spending money to develop these parks. <br /> <br />RECEIVING PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN 1980 <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka commented that letting bids in the Winter will create <br />higher bids because they will allow for increases in prices of materials. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg declaring <br />adequacy of petition and ordering preparation of report and adopting Resolution <br />No. 79-58, for improvement of streets in the following developments: Carol <br />Rose Acres, Sports Haven, Golden Eagle Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes' Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION REC~d/I)ING CAB INTERCEPTOR <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution No. 79-56 requesting Metropolitan Council Physical Development <br />Committee to Delay Commitment of Anoka Interceptor Construction. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />SET DA2ES FORFINAL PUBLIC'HEARING'ON CONSTRUCTION'PROJECT'FOR 1979 <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to republish <br />the hearing regarding the Brookview Improvement Project due to an error <br />in the first publication that omitted Neon Street from Highway 47 to 170th <br />Lane N.W., and to hold another public hearing on September 24, 1979. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br /> September 10, 1979 <br /> PS, 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
