Councilman Sorteberg stated that he thought the same thing due to the fact <br />that the economy may be detrimental to development, but it is hard to know <br />what will happen. <br /> <br />Discussion held on the engineering.costs. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested buying a used van versus a new one for the <br />engineer to cut costs. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox commented regarding the garbage/rubbish haulers license <br />request of Mr. Baumgartner, Yttrium Street. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle explained that Mr. Baumgartner parks his truck <br />in Andover. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said that he should enter into a contract with the City <br />regarding his vehicle, with stipulations that he would not park any of <br />his vehicles on his property in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Discussion held regarding the City ordinances on animals. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented that possibly the present ordinance isn't strong enough <br />and that the number one problem seems to be pigs. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox questioned if the City intended to really be as restrictive <br />as they are now. <br /> <br />No formal action taken regarding the animal ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to have the <br />next regular Council meeting on Tuesday, November 13th because November 12 <br />is a Holiday. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann md Mickelson. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />A special Council meeting was set for 11/29/79 at 7:30 P.M. to adopt the 1980 Budget. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reviewed Budgetary Funds. He said the Park Department will be <br />asked to get together and work on a bond issue and any future construction, develop- <br />ment, acquisition to go into a referendum and let the citizen decide what they want. <br /> <br />Traprock horse arena to have a grandstand and concessions to be operated by the <br />Lions Club. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE <br /> <br />Tabled. <br /> <br />FLOOD PLAIN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Tabled. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />October 22, 1979 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
