Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to grant <br />a 120 day extension ~r final plat approval to Carson Homes for Flintwood Hills <br />Plat II. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Acting ~ayor Reimann, Councilmen Cox~ Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Trott Brook Final Plat Approval <br /> <br />Mr. Klemish was present along with his surveyor~ Jeff Caine. <br />Councilman Reimann asked about Mr. Klemish paving Yttrium Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Klemish said he is under the impression that he didn't have to pave it. <br />This road isn't part of his plat, and that it was already there. He has already <br />put gravel on it and did a lot of work but this isn't his street and he doesn!t <br />feel he should have to work on a City street. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to approve <br />the Final plat of Trott Brook Estates with all of the conditions stated <br />in the engineer's report dated, December 7, 1979, except that Item ~4 <br />be deleted and no paving of the temporary cul de sac; and with P & Z recommendations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmen Mickelson, Cox <br />and Sortebergo Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Blaine Midway Contract <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich has reviewed the Animal Control contract and reports that <br />it is the same as last years. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to authorize <br />entering the contract with Blaine Midway for Animal Control for 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann discussed the disposing of dead animals and he suggests <br />that the police or street department take care of disposing of dead animals <br />to save the cost of the animal control agency picking up these animals. <br /> <br />RUM RIVER Bridge Project <br /> <br />Engineer Sha reported on a meeting held with Anoka County in ~egard to the <br />Rum River Bridge Crossing. The City is to determine the land that <br />will be needed for the road right of way. The land involved is owned by <br />Art Raudio, who is in the process of developing the land. <br /> <br />The County would also like to acquire right of way land to clean up the <br />intersection of County Road 5 and Highway 47. The City is negotiating <br />with Mr, Raudio for land for these easements in addition to land that <br />can be used for public recreation. Approximately 64.6 acres is involved. <br />The oxbow shaped property is to be given to the City as a permanent land <br />dedication for public use. <br /> <br />Council/December 10, 1979/Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
