Signalization of Highway 47 and new Co. Rd. 116 and at the intersection of
Co. Rd. 5 and Highway 47 was discussed.

Attorney Goodrich indicated that the Raudio land could be platted into two
outlots at the present time.

Mayor Gamec commented that the Park and Recreation Commission has some ideas
on an arena being located on the Landfill property at some future time.

Councilman Cox stated that there would not be enough land at the Landfill for
a facility of this type if a ski area is located there also. There won't be
enough room for parking etc. He stated that the County could possibly get
funding to build a new energy efficient type of recreation center on the Raudio
property, but that the arena should not enter into the issue of obtaining this
land.

Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to direct the
City Attorney and City Administrator and City Engineer to prepare a contract
for obtaining this property from Mr. Raudio. The Mayor is authorized to sign
the contract and both the Mayor and Acting Mayor are to thoroughly review the
document prior to signing.

Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann
and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.

Mr. Raudio is to obtain the appraisal on the land.

Councilman Cox stated that Mr. Raudio wants reasonable assurances for developing
the long strip of land on the north end of the property to be a golf driving range
and wondered about the possibility of a joint parking area.

There appeared to be no objection to a joint parking facility.

Regarding lot sizes, the consensus of the Council is to allow lot size variances
on the property.

Councilman Sorteberg suggested that Mr. Raudio bring in his development as a
PUD and in that way he could have some assurance that it can be developed as
he plans and he will avoid the need to further negotiate with future Councils.

Councilman Cox discussed the County ditch that crosses the Highway and that
Mr. Raudio check on this matter now so he doesn't get detained when he starts
developing the land.

The City Attorney and City Engineer's fees on this present proposal are to be
picked up by the City.

STREET PETITIONS

Street petitions received at City Hall for tarvia surfacing of roads are
for the areas as follows: Halland Acres; Co.
