She noted findings of fact have been provided. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was no citizen input. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Watson to close the public hearing <br />at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Johnson, Commissioners Brauer, Watson, Jeffrey, <br />Shepherd, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />Commission Input <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked for clarification on gross square footage versus the footprint. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald stated now it is based on the footprint, but owners were allowed to go <br />two or three stories. This is being changed to be gross square footage. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if that includes accessory buildings. Associate Planner Wald <br />stated it does. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy suggested this be better defined. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer asked what Adult Uses - Principal and Accessory meant, and if they <br />should be retained. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated Adult Use - Principal and Accessory are defined <br />by City based on how much of the business is dedicated to adult use materials. She further <br />advised where these businesses can be was established by the courts, there are other guidelines <br />that have to be met, and she advised against removing them from this zoning district. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer noted there is a plant nursery in the area, and asked if it fell into these <br />permitted uses. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald indicated there are uses currently within the corridor that are not listed as <br />permitted uses, but there is a clause that anything there now will be considered legal non- <br />conforming. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/April 1, 2004 <br /> Page 13 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
