Mayor Gamec asked if the funding match for the $360,000 can include developer contribution.

Assistant Community Development Director Tmdgeon responded in the affirmative.

Councihnembcr Strommen asked if there is a priority between the items listed for the
Development Grant, in the case they were not to be fully funded.

Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon replied the large ticket item is the
amphitheater, which is $300,000. The trails and pedestrian bridges equal roughly $60,000. If
they had to shave anything off they would keep the $300,000. Even if they were to receive some
it will help the City make the amphitheater a reality in the future. The amphitheater is the more
important thing.

Councilmcmbcr Strommen asked if there would be another project that could be chosen if the
funding is below the cost of the amphitheater.

Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon replied it needs to be specified what the
fimding will be used for.

Councihnember Strommen indicated if three projects are listed and the award only covers the
two smaller items, they should be able to say they will do the smaller items. She inquired about
the planned activities for the Opportunity Grant.

Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon replied staff is still in the process of
working on this. It will likely be based off of the Central Rural Reserve.

Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Resolution
#04-05-139 authorizing staff to apply for a LCDA Opportunity Grant, and to adopt Resolution
#04-05-140 authorizing staffto apply for a LCDA Development Grant.

Motion carried.
