-3- <br />2/28/77 <br /> <br />-3- <br />Regular Council Mtg. <br /> " 2/28/77 <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said the Trott Brook area should be set aside. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich presented a request from Attorney Nielson to obtain a variance <br />in writing on a metes and bounds subdivision of Gorham's Sandy Acres. Mr. Nielson <br />feels the lot was conveyed in violation of the City's subdivision ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, Seconded by Reimann to adopt Resolution No. 32 granting <br />a variance from the City of Ramsey Ordinance 75-5 in order to permit a conveyance <br />by a metes and bounds description of the following described property. <br /> W 217.8 feet of the E 435.6 feet of the South 200 feet of the North 1433 <br />feet of the West half of the SE Quarter of Section 24, Township 32, Range 25, <br />in Aneka County Minnesota as measured along the North and East lines of said <br />West half of the SE quarter su.bject to an easement for road purposes over the <br />East 33 feet thereof. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Sweedal, requesting a subdivision of a lot on Bower Driv%was <br />present in the audience. Attorney Goodrich explained Mr. Sweedal's problem <br />to the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Sweedal is to go through Planning & Zoning with his request with a public <br />hearing being scheduled in accordance with the City's subdivision ordinance. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich reported that the Odegaard dog problem is set for continuance <br />to April. A trial had been set for mid February but the Odegaard's filed an <br />affadavit of prejudice on the judge, <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich had Ramsey Police go out and count the dogs. He counted 30 to 32 <br />dogs outside and did not know how many were inside. He said the City will <br />proceed under the kennel license ordinance as well as nuisance. <br /> <br />Building Department Report <br />Read by Mr. Nereson. Mayor Cox requests the inspector list the number of <br />inspection, building and assessing separately on his report in the future. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said the personnel committee will discuss the prospect of <br />hiring a certified building inspector to assist Mr. Wirz versus using part <br />time labor to free Mr. Wirz for more administrative work. <br /> <br />Street Department Report <br />Read by Mr. Nereson. <br />Councilman Reimann asked about plans for insulating the new maintenance building. <br /> <br />Mr. Mevissen said he plans to do this sometime next fall. <br /> <br />Park Commission. <br />Mr. Cooper said he would like to attend the Metro Council meeting on a multi- <br />purpose trail course for hiking and biking trails through Ramsey to propose <br />to them to include Trott Brook in this. He feels Ramsey has an excellent chance <br />for funding on this program. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox gave Mr. Cooper authorization to represent Ramsey at the meeting <br />and expressed his appreciation for.him taking the time to work on the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson question the payment of Mr. Paquette for the PaYk's Comprehensive <br />Plan~ <br /> <br />Discussion was held as to Council's intent regarding the schedule of payment. <br /> <br /> <br />
