He said he thinks it is a worthwhile
type of thing and makes good PR for Ramsey and he can see where it has done some
good but he thinks the point is well made and well taken and agrees that you
have to go as far as .you can with them and turn your back on them for your
own priorities.

Mayor Cox can't see where there will be less and less but maybe with the
resolution etc~ they will start realizinq the.v haven't done anything for us.

Mr. Nereson is to talk to Attorney Goodrich regarding revision of the Licensing
Ordinance.

Mayor Cox said money has been spent responding to the Metro Council and other
agencies that we don't have to spend. It could have been used on projects
to improve our own community.

Councilman Muller reported on the EDC meetinp.

Councilman Muller reported that EDC met Thursday March lOth at DeZiels.
Discussed were -- feasibility of local airport becoming municipal, and
qrants available for purchase of airports by City and possibilities that
could be there.

He said Mr Greenberg laid out an overall plan for Industrial Boulevard along
with drawing in the airport. Industrial Blvd. going into the airport on a
long-range plan. He said he has a terrific idea and is going to appear before
P & Z tonight.

Mayor Cox said he is mostly concerned about possible municipal jurisdiction
other ventures operating and obtaining federal funding to developing and maintaining
the airport. It could be a nucleus for traffic for the Industrial Park and a
shuttle service for the Metro Airport.

Mayor Cox expressed pleasure in seeing that the EDC is on their toes.

Councilman Gorham reported that he attended the County EDC meeting.
He said the Metro Council doesn't recognize our Industrial Park but it will
now appear on the plan as an Industrial Park even thouqh it has not yet met
the criteria for an Industrial Park. Also discussed was the river and brid~e
crossing at Industrial Boulevard.

Mayor Cox asked that the bridge crossing be addressed in the DNR Rum River Management
Plan.

Administrator's Report

Mr. Nereson reported that after the special Council meeting when the schedule,
as prepared by Bernie Steffen, was adopted he attended a meetinq at Dick Sha's
office adressing soil &septic design standards within the Urban Area and
how we are going to approach time table and costs. The Ordinance is to be completed
by May 4th in review form. Work session will be held with Planning & Zoning and
Council to review the ordinance draft to implement the plan and to be very familiar
with it before its adoption.
