Resolution on regionalism. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read the proposed Resolution No, 33. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, Seconded by Mickelson to adopt Resolution No. 33 <br /> <br />4 Ay~ <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Benson, Hennepin County Region in Government, presented copies of <br />similar resolutions adopted by McCloud County, Crow Winq, Scott, Shakopee <br />for Council review. <br /> <br />Copies of Ramsey's Resolution #33 to be sent to legislators and congressmen. <br /> <br />3. Air Show. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox reported that Mr. Sauter would like to invite all interested people <br />in the communit.y to contact him regarding a meeting on May 1. He has slides and <br />movies to show on the Air Show. World famous people are to be part of the Air Show. <br /> <br />Councilman Mul.ler is to work on finding someone to work with the Rangers in <br />the advertising of the Air Show. <br /> <br />4. Personnel Meetin¢l <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham reported that he and Councilman Reimann met with Mr. Nereson. <br />Discussion pertained to all departments in the City. Everything reported to be <br />qoin¢ along fine. Discussion also on hirinq a steno for taking Council minutes, <br />more help for the building official (Mr. Nereson will be keeping a close watch <br />on the workload). Mr. Nereson's probation period ends 5/1/77 and the Personnel <br />Committee will be wrting their recommendation sometime in April. Also discussed <br />the financial report and what happened the previous year and Mr. Nereson is <br />to send a letter requesting an extension from the State. Discussion on Mr. <br />Nereson settinq a meeting with the County Assessor to review this .year's assessing <br />work so far. Also discussed pressure of Metro Council that is on Mr. Nereson. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said he feels City business comes first, there are certain things <br />that Mr. Nereson has to see to but some can be dropped off for a while. He said <br />the City sent in the Comp plan last July and did not hear again until December <br />and we have to give priorities to things also. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said he feels likewise, some are a time scheduled thing, and they set <br />a time and date and if we are not there they think we don't care so we should <br />send a letter that we care but can't fit it into our schedule. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said he feels we are going to have less and less of this. He is <br />suspendinq most operations with them because everything else is hanging in limbo. <br />He has made a decision to cut back on some of his activities because there are <br /> <br /> <br />
