The City does undertake <br />this platting obligation in consideration for the conveyance to the City <br />or County of the necessary road right of way. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said Congressman Oberstar indicated how important it is and that <br />he is pleased that the bridge proposal is in Washington. <br /> <br />Mr. Peltzer commented on the park fund dedication being so high for <br />developing in the Industrial Park and asked about development of the <br />land area around the road. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said Mr. Peltzer's concern is well taken and added that the industrial <br />park does nothing but create jobs and doesn't burden the school tax. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked if Mr. Peltzer would like to sit down and talk to Ramsey <br />EDC and Mr. Peltzer indicated he would. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mickelson Seconded by Gorham to authorize the City attorney to <br />draft appropriate agreements for Industrial Road right of way agreements <br />and for them to be executed by the Mayor and individual land owners. <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg spoke on a feasibility study that is 90% federal and state <br />funded and can be conducted to research the possibility of the airport <br />becoming municipal. If it does become municipal some revenues will be <br />derived. The other 10% will be paid back to the Industrial Park at that <br />time. The Industrial Park is reserving $1350 in case this doesn't go through. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mickelson Seconded by Reimann that the representative, Mr. Greenberg, <br />should the City go forward with the feasibility study will insure the City <br />on behalf of the Industrial Park that it will expend none of the City's funds <br />for the feasibility study. The maximum cost to the Industrial Park will be <br />$1350. <br /> <br />MOTION by Gotham, Seconded by Reimann to adopt Resolution No. 34. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> <br />Ordinance amending Ordinance 76-2 extending the moratorium was presented by <br />Attorney Goodrich. He said this should be passed by the last meeting in <br />April. This affects the present moratorium and continues it for 90 days ~ <br /> <br />5 Aye. <br /> <br />5 Aye~ <br /> <br />5 Aye~ <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson reviewed the Urban plan stages. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich reported that there is a bill in front of the legislature <br />to have the County Attorney's office prosecute all misdemeanors and have the <br />Mayor testify. There will be no local prosecution, the County will be doing <br />it. This is good in that it is more economical, bad because it is one step <br />closer to regionalism. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said it is highly irritating that good local representation is <br />being taken away from the people. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich reported that the Nelson and Guy lawsuits are still pending. <br /> <br /> <br />
