Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Johns, Riley, <br />Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />The City Council meeting moved into a Closed Session at 5:36 p.m. <br />The City Council reconvened in open Work Session at 6:00 p.m. <br />2.02: Discuss Council Organization <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report. <br />Mayor Strommen asked if there were any questions related to the discussion of the City <br />Attorney. She noted this case is on the Consent Agenda for the Council meeting following this <br />meeting. <br />There were no questions. <br />Mayor Strommen commented the proposed date to discuss the strategic plan and conceptualize a <br />vision is set for Tuesday, February 2 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Shryock stated she has an obligation the first Tuesday of each month. She may <br />need to leave the meeting, and could possibly come back. <br />Mayor Strommen stated she preferred choosing a date that works to have all members present. <br />Discussion took place regarding dates and times for the meeting. <br />City Administrator Ulrich suggested he would take a survey of dates and times that may work. <br />Mayor Strommen suggested penciling out the agenda to see how long the meeting might take. <br />Councilmember Riley questioned whether the meeting needed to be held. He noted the strategic <br />plan is only eight months old. <br />Consensus was reached to bring this item back to the work session as an agenda item. <br />2.03: Discuss Agreements Between City of Ramsey and McDonalds USA LLC <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama reviewed the staff report. <br />A McDonalds representative noted there was some concern that the construction of the building <br />could be shut down by the road closures due to the interchange. She explained they are very <br />much in favor of the interchange and believe it will be good for their business. They wanted to <br />time their opening with the opening of the interchange, which is why they had asked for more <br />time. <br />City Council Work Session / January 11, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
