He said 15,000
trees were available for sale, and 14,000 were sold. He also said that another
tree sale will be held this Saturday between 7:00 and 11:00 and that nothing will
be sold before 7:00 because some people were disappointed at the last sale that
the trees sold so fast.

Mayor Cox indicated that he was upset with the reportin~ and felt that it was
presented in a biased manner. The reporter asked for other opinions from members
on the Council. Councilmen Gotham and Mickelson commented that they, too, feel
there have been biased articles in the reporting.

Bud Rudapenny was at the meeting seeking grade approval for County 7 at
FarghertyBridge.

M(~fION by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson, to pass Resolution ~36 showing proposed
alignment for County State Aid Highway 7. 5 Ayes

Letter from County Auditor Charles Lefebvre requesting signatures of the City
Board. for a Tax Forfeit Land Sale.

MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson, to authorize city auditor to sell
Plat 89-218, Parcel 6300.

Notes from today's issue of "Review", the Metropolitan Council's bulletin.
Mr. Nereson indicated from the "RevieW' that our airport proposal would be
approved by the Metropolitan Council and that a May 19 meeting will be held
on the new populat~n-px~Jections and that Bernie S~effen will represent the
City at this meeting.

5 Ayes

Letter from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission indicating a meeting for
May 10, 7:30 at Bunker Lake Activities Bldg. to discuss a search for an area for
chemical waste land fill facilities. There was concern that the City of Ramsey
is included in the search area and Mayor Cox said that it should be indicated to
them that we would object to being included in this search because Ramsey is an
unsewered area.
