There was general discussion on this by the <br />members of the Council. Mr. Neresonwill make a full report to the Personnel <br />Committee. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Additional land acquisition City Hall <br /> <br />At this time the City has one offer from adjacent land owners to the City <br />property to purchase approximately 7.6 acres for a selling price of $5,000.00 <br />per acre and a total of $38,000.00~ terms cash~ offer expires July It buyer <br />assumes cost of surveys. <br /> <br />It is the consensus of the Council that the present site of five acres is <br />adequate for the facility as originally intended. <br /> <br />Warming House <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson read his report regarding recommendations for the warming house. A <br />gas heater was suggested in place of the electric heater now in there. The cost <br />would be about $~00.00. Mr. Nereson was asked~o check into what the difference <br />in cost would be in using propane gas over installing a larger electric heater. <br /> <br />Soft Ball Field on 156th <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said that a backstop and grading is all that is needed for the <br />ball field. Mr. Nereson said he will have it investigated to see if the city's <br />equipment could handle the grading and would then let the Park Department know. <br /> <br />P & Z Co~mission - Recommendations <br /> <br />Darnell Blume - Variance Request <br /> <br />MOTION by Gotham, seconded by Mickelson to grant a conditional use permit per <br />P & Z recommendations and that the density will be consistent with the urban <br />plan. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Wesley Bulen's rezoning request was withdrawn today. <br /> <br />Ed Klemish and Anthony Flores - Sketch Plan. The sketch plan is now being worked <br />on by the engineer for both parties. <br /> <br />High Point Sketch Plan. This is being reviewed and worked out by City Engineer <br />and owner's engineer. <br /> <br /> <br />
